Visiting the School:
We are happy
to have parents visit the school. However, as welcome
as parents are, they may also focus attention away from
classroom instruction and become a distraction to both
the students and the teachers. Parents are welcome to
visit after arranging a time with the Headmaster. Visitors
should schedule an appointment in advance and must check
in at the office upon arrival.
EMERGENCY SCHOOL CLOSINGS:
At times it may be necessary to close the Academy due
to inclement weather. The decision to close the Academy
is made in consultation with state and town authorities.
The decision is made as early as possible. A message will
be put on the school voice mail by 6:30 AM. Please call
to find out if there is a delayed opening or cancellation
for the day.
NOTE: The school office must be notified
by 9:00 AM if your child is going to be absent that day.
Please also send a written note, dated and signed by a
parent, when your child returns to school. Any absence
of two or more days must be accompanied by a physician's
note upon the student's return.
