Mrs. Hala holds a Bachelor’s degree in
Computer Engineering and a Master’s in Computer
Science from Boston University. For five years,
Mrs. Hala ran the Daycare for the kids of Alhuda
Academy’s faculty. Mrs. Hala has two years
experience teaching preschool. In the past she has
tutored students in Math at Wentworth Institute
of Technology. She is fluent in Arabic, English
and capable of communicating in French.

Pre-K Teacher-Bacherlor´s degree in Early
Childhood Education. She is also OCCS (Office of
Child Care Services) certified. Sr. Rouba has seven
years experience as an early childhood educator.
Her creativity makes the Pre-K classroom buzz with
exciting learning activities.

Mrs. Shamem Magdum has a Bachelor's degree
in Education and a Master's in Education with a
focus on Child Psychology. She has experience teaching
in India and 3 years experience teaching in an Islamic
school. Her goal is to develop a strong Islamic
personality with emphasis on confidence, love, respect,
patience, and Love of Allah for her students. Her
favorite quote is "Everyday is a new rise of
life, love it, live it, and feel it with patience." |

Mrs. Shakir has a B.S. in Elementary Education and
is a certified teacher. She has over 12 years of
teaching experience as well as one year in school
administration. During the school’s first
year, in 2001-2002 she served as Principal and is
one of its founders as well as one of the founders
of Alhamra Academy in Shrewsbury. She is a certified
Massachusetts English Language Oral Assessor for
ESL students, trained mentor and is a trained Teacher
Consultant by the Central Massachusetts Writing
Project and the National Writing Project.

| Mrs. Toropov holds a Bachelor’s degree in
Special Education. She has been teaching at Muslim
elementary schools in Florida for 5 years. Mrs. Toropov
has attended workshops and taken classes that cover
several teaching methodologies, including Kagan’s
cooperative learning, differentiated learning, and
enrichment for gifted learners. This is her first
year at Alhuda Academy. |

Ms. Matthew joins Alhuda Academy as the third
grade teacher. She has a Bachelor’s degree
in Islamic Studies from Harvard University. She
has five years experience as a home educator and
one year experience as a teacher at an Islamic school.
She also has experience as a private tutor, teaching
aide, and assistant instructor. Her interests are
painting, reading, and creative writing.

Mrs. Abdelkader received her B.S. degree with
High Honors (4.0 overall GPA) in Biochemistry with
Pre-Med training. She has done her Master’s graduate
work in Immunology. She has worked in the pharmaceutical
research industry for seven years; as well as biotechnology
research for an additional four years prior to getting
involved in Islamic schools. She has co-authored
several scientific papers which were published in
pharmaceutical research and medical journals. She
has also held teaching posts at the high school
and middle school level, in addition to being a
teaching assistant at the university level. She
has 4 years teaching experience.
Mrs. Abdelkader was involved in the original setup
of Alhuda Academy. She has worked in administration
as well as teacher and curriculum support throughout
Alhuda’s history. She is extremely committed to
the Islamic schools movement and philosophy due
to her realization of the importance of youth preparation
for upholding their faith.

Mrs. Alami holds a B.S. in Chemistry and Biology.
She has five years experience in teaching along
with her previous research experience. |

Mrs. Sherin Ashkar-Nayfeh holds a bachelor’s
degree in Anthropology from the University
of Massachusetts. She taught 9th and 10th
grade social studies during the inaugural
year of Al-Noor Academy in Quincy, Massachusetts.
She also served as director of the 1998 summer
camp of the Islamic Academy of New England.
She has coordinated various Islamic and Arabic
children’s activities. Mrs. Nayfeh enjoys
traveling, reading, and spending time with
her three young children and husband.. |

Mrs. Bugrara studied Computer Science
holding an Associate of Applied Business degree.
For the past five years, she tutored and taught
the Arabic language from the first grade level
up to eighth grade level at a non-profit organization
and has three years of experience as a computer
lab assistant in public school. Mrs. Bugrara
leveraged her background in computer technology
and teaching experience to develop and design
unique curriculum coursework and materials
as well as taking the initiative to designing
and implementing her own course website. |

B. S. in Arabic Language and Literature. Mrs.
Hammad has over 23 years of experience in teaching
Arabic in the U.A.E. and in British schools overseas.
She has also held the posts of lead Arabic teacher
and Head of Arabic Department at Alhuda Academy
for two years. She has compiled books for curricula
accommodation. She is in charge of Arabic library.
She has formulated Arabic placement exams for all
grade levels. She has organized Arabic nasheeds
and plays presentations for students. |

Mrs. Faiz joins Alhuda Academy as an Arabic
and Islamic Studies teacher for grades PK to Grade
8. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Arabic
Literature and Linguistics from Mohamed V University
in Rabat, Morocco. Mrs. Faiz brings with her over
12 years of teaching and tutoring experience in
full-time and weekend Islamic schools. She worked
as an Arabic and Islamic Studies teacher for three
years at The Islamic Academy For Peace in Methuen,
MA, where she demonstrated herself as an active
and hard working member of the school. Mrs. Faiz
conducted the daily morning assembly with different
topics. She also contributed in the modifications
made to the Arabic and Islamic Studies curriculum
