| Dear Parents,
Assalamu Alikum wa Rahmatu Allahi wa Barakatuh,
I have the great pleasure of announcing to you that Alhuda
Academy has officially begun the accreditation process
on April 11th, 2008.
With the help of Allah (SWT), Alhuda Academy seeks to
acquire accreditation from the New England Association
of Schools and Colleges (NEASC). NEASC is an organization
with the mission to examine elementary, middle, and high
schools, as well as colleges against a set of standards
which make any educational institution exemplary.
The process of accreditation starts with a self-study
period followed by setting school plans and being visited
by NEASC representatives. It is a lengthy and tedious
endeavor, yet one that allows for a closer look at the
school building, programs, philosophy, and safety among
other aspects.
The accreditation process can only be successful if we
are able to come together as a school and lend much support
to our school staff. NEASC makes a point of asking the
school to include all parents in the process. We
are counting on you to make this process successful.
On April 11th, 2008 the Accreditation Steering Committee
met for the first time. Our Steering Committee includes
Mohamed Abdelrhman, Daoud Ali, Nabila Mohammed, Maha Bugrara,
Gwen Moselhy, and myself. All of us are more than happy
to hear your ideas and suggestions. You can talk to us
individually or reach out to Maha Bugrara, our contact
person, at 508 854 4700 or through email at mbugrara@msn.com
Please look for more information about the accreditation
on the website as it becomes more available. You can also
talk to me if you have any questions or input.
Sincerely,
Nada El-Alami
Principal
Alhuda Academy
