Ansar Training:

Last Saturday, eighth and seventh grade students participated in a leadership training program. The program aimed at preparing students to uphold responsibilities in the school and to plan ahead for greater responsibilities during high school and college years. Three speakers presented the sessions:
Sh. Hamid, our Imam, gave an introduction to leadership and the dire need in our societies for skilled and pious leaders.
Br. Salman Shazeeb, our computer teacher and an active member of WPI MSA, presented an exciting session on lessons from leadership stories.
Sr. Siama Muhammad, a BU Dental School Alumni and an active MAS member, gave an overview on the etiquettes of leadership.
A follow-up session may be scheduled during the year, potentially to include other youth from the community.
Meanwhile, our Ansar members will be responsible for many tasks around the building. We ask Allah (SWT) to make this the first step in a lifelong full of service to Him.

Tardy Students

Many students have been coming late to school. Tardy time starts at 8:05 and will be reported in the student report card of the term. Students coming late to school are missing the daily Ramadan quiz, important information, and announcements during the morning assembly. They are also less prepared to start the day on the right note causing disruption to their learning and to other classmates. Please take the necessary steps to bring your child to school on time.

Pakistan Relief Donations

Our students have been practicing their Ramadan value of the week, “charity”, through donating to Pakistan. Students have been encouraged to sense responsibility towards their suffering fellow Muslims. A box has been designated to drop off donations. So far, many students have contributed. Please encourage your child to bring in a donation to the school in order to feel a connection to the greater Muslim body. Small sums are as welcome as big ones. The final amount will be sent through the Islamic Relief organization.
