Parent –Teacher Conferences:
Please reserve a time on Wednesday, Nov 23rd to stop by the school and talk to your child(ren)’s teachers. Parents can come in at any time between 8:15 and 2:00. You will be seen for 15 minutes on a first-come, first-serve basis. After you enter the building, you will need to write your name on the sign-in sheet posted on the teacher’s door and wait for your turn. Please make sure you speak to all available teachers including Arabic and Islamic Studies teachers. Use that time to discuss your child(ren)’s academic, social and conduct progress.

A Great Contribution:
The following group of mothers was kind enough to remember our school in their social gathering. These mothers, in addition to some other community women, were able to raise the amount of $300 for the school.
They are:

- Hanan Bahnassi
- Aida Kabbara
- Rania Daher
- Karen Zakaria
- Iman Dabbag
- Fatima Idris
- Rasha Boura
- Imane Ramadan
- Rouba Yaghmour

May Allah reward them greatly.

A Change in the Staff:
Alhamdulillah, our school receives so much support from the community. Mrs. Vakil has gone the extra mile to help the school. She, like all our teachers, has put forth an enormous amount of sacrifice and dedication. Due to Mrs. Vakil’s time constraint, we have asked Mrs. Maha Alami to teach fifth grade science and math. Mrs. Alami is also teaching fourth grade Science and math. May Allah accept from both of them. Also, starting this coming Monday, Nov 21, sixth and seventh grade students will be separated during Math and Science class.
I have also started teaching fourth grade language arts and social studies. Please be patient with me if I don’t communicate with you right away.

I will personally supervise the process. We will ISA contact the nominated people for their approval and then list their names on the election ballot. Tentatively, election night will be Dec 16th. We will confirm the date ISA.
The purpose of the PTO is to provide support to the school and staff through leading extra curricula activities and funding for them.

A new Scanner:
Alhamdullilah, we are still receiving many items from our wish list. Jazake Allah Khair for the Zawahreh family for the donated scanner. It will be put to good use.

Free Computers:
The school has many computers up for grab. We need to empty the computer room to set up the new computer lab. If you would like to take one or know someone who needs a computer, please stop by and ask for one as soon as possible.

Food and Clothes Drive:
One of our parents works with Muslim refugees in the area. She expressed the need for clothes and food items to help the new arriving group. Please involve your children in this process to feel a sense of compassion and contribution toward the greater community. Items will be accepted as early as tomorrow.
