The theme of the month of Shawwal
is Itqaan, excellence / perfection.
Students have been listening to a variety of reasons why
seeking excellence is important to each individual.
During the assembly we have discussed ways to practice
Itqaan through class work, homework, making wudu’,
and cleanliness.
Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said: “He
who loves for the sake of Allah and dislikes for the
sake of Allah and he who gives away for the sake of
Allah and withholds for the sake of Allah, he actually
completes his faith.”
The Prophet SAWS has told us in the
above Hadith that perfection of faith is realized by these
four attitudes.

We
are looking to make the hot lunch menu a healthy choice
for our students. We are looking to add more variety to
the menu including more sides of vegetables and fruits.
We are also moving towards 100% halal meat, purchased
only from halal stores. This makes the hot lunch very
costly.
Please come forward to sponsor 1 to 3 days every month,
so we can provide the best for our students.
Many hidden talented were demonstrated through this
program. Students enjoyed watching and participating
in the program. Enjoy the pictures on the website.

Students from grade 6 and 7 will partake in the community
service program with partners from Bancroft School. Their
first visit will take place on Nov 14th. This program
is the result of a partnership with the Bancroft S. and
fulfills the need for our students to get in touch with
the idea of service and volunteering in the community.
Students will have the opportunity to have their pictures
taken. You can purchase packages that include individual
and class pictures in different combinations of dimensions
and numbers. Please look for the picture package to be
sent to you soon. Fill out and return to us before the
actual day.
Last
week, students from preschool went to an apple-picking
field trip. Yesterday, students from grade KG and 1 went
to a visit to a firehouse. Both trips were very exciting
to students. They both allowed for hands-on activities
and learning through applications. The field trips were
unbeatably awesome.
A
big Jazake Allah Khair to Merve Sunar for taking the time
last Friday to clean up the Masjid. She and a friend spent
hours preparing the Masjid for Jumua prayer.
Cleaning the Masjid is a great honor in the sight of Allah.
The Prophet (SAWS) insisted to pray upon the grave of
a Companion who used to clean the Masjid when he heard
that the former had died.
