 Parent-teacher conferences:
The parent-teacher conferences are planned for tomorrow, Nov. 30th. Please come to dismiss your child at 12:00, then come back to talk to teachers at 1:30 PM.
Sign in at the door for each teacher and she will see you in the order of signed names.
Bring your inputs, questions, and concerns from the first term report card.

 Debate
Students from 6 and 7 grades debated about the benefit versus the harm of television. Judges and audience members were impressed with the level of argument and presentation. The trainees were happy to see students implement the skills of public speaking they had taught them in class. All students performed very well without exception. Parents should all be proud of this fantastic leadership skill all of them possess. See names of winners on the back.

 Seerah sessions
Imam Abdulkarim has graciously agreed to give students a Seerah series in preparation for the Religion Fair. Students attended the first session with him yesterday, and will participate in 3 more before the end of next week ISA.
Students are able to listen to important aspects of the life of Prophet Muhammad (S) and can bring their questions to the Imam.

  Visit from dentist
Students from PK1 to grade 2 received a visit from a dentist. Mr. Dabbagh talked about the importance of taking care of teeth. He answered the students’ questions and gave out toothbrushes. Students learned and enjoyed his visit. May Allah reward him greatly.

   Report cards
Please make sure you have signed and returned your child report card / progress report

  New year calendar
We have been working on a calendar for the new year. The calendar will display students’ artwork relating to the yearly themes. It will also portray students’ pictures in daily activities or special events. Please help us get the word out. Having this calendar in different households is a great way to advertise for the school, so plan to buy a few as gifts to your friends.
Parents who prefer not to have their child’s picture displayed should call us and let us know before Monday.

  Ansar program
Students from grade 3 are the Ansar for the month of ThulQuida. As such, they will be helping other students with the following 3 actions:
  • They have launched a can drive for the needy from now until next Friday, the 7th. See flyer for more information.
  • They are offering to sell snacks to students throughout the week for next week Dec. 3rd to 7th.
  • They are planning to help clean and set up the cafeteria for more frequent use.
Good choices from grade 3. Insha’Allah they will be greatly rewarded.
