Courage Essay:

We are proud to announce that Yusuf Abdelkader has won the Courage essay for 2008.

This statewide contest is part of the Courage Curriculum, which teaches students to reflect and write about courage.
Yusuf Abdelkader has been invited to the ceremony that will host winners from all over Massachusetts.
Boston’s Mayor Menino will talk to the winners and present them with medals.
Yusuf Abdelkader will have his essay and picture published in the “Courage of Boston’s Children” book.

Open House:

Thanks to you

parents for the great support for the Open House. Many of you contributed by sending refreshments, organizing, or just showing up to talk to prospective parents. May Allah reward all of you.

Spelling Bee

Please notice the following changes in the Spelling Bee dates.
Round 1 is on March 31st. Students will have a classroom Spelling Bee.
Round 2 is on April 11th. Finalists from round 1 will participate in Alhuda Spelling Bee.
Round 3 is on May 1st. Winners from round 2 will compete in the New England Spelling Bee against students from other Islamic schools.

Science Fair

Mark your calendar. Science Fair will be held on March 28th. You are invited to attend and invite others to the event.

No Dismissal

On Monday, March 31st we are asking all parents to come inside the building to pick up students. Please come in to drop off the re-enrollment form with the deposit, then proceed to pick up your child

Re-enrollment

Re-enrollment forms are due March 31st. Late re-enrollment will cost an additional $100 fee

Field trip

Finding chaperones for preschool field trips has become a very complicated process. If you are able to chaperone even though your child is not in preschool, please let us know.
Otherwise, we are canceling field trips for this grade at this time.

Fundraising Dinner

Expect to hear about our Spring Fundraising event soon. We are in the process of finalizing a date with Imam Siraj Wahhaj who has promised to come to Alhuda in April.

* Half day every first Thursday of the month.
* P. Ed. on Tuesdays and Thursdays (Gym uniform required).
