Alhuda Academy
Religion Fair
Under the overarching theme of this year: “He who obeys
the Messenger has in deed obeyed Allah”, Alhuda students
will focus during the Religion Fair on Hajj rituals for
the younger classes and roles played by Prophet Muhammad
(PBUH) for the older grades. This will be a great opportunity
for our students to learn about the many blessings Hajj
rituals bestow on Muslims and it will allow for students
from grade 5 to 7 to research and learn about Prophet
Muhammad in the many roles he played during his life.
Religion Fair is an event that allows students to deepen
their understanding of Islam while enjoying the fun hands-on
activities and the extra quality time they spend with
their parents while working on the projects.
The Religion Fair is scheduled for December 14, 2007.
We have assigned different topics for the different grade
levels.
Topic Selection:
Students from grade Pre K1 to 4 will
focus on Hajj
Students from Pre K 1 and KG will work
on Arts and Crafts, collages, or Nasheeds.
Students from grades 1 to 4 will work
on collages, posters, dioramas, Ayah or Hadith search,
and/or a written paragraph for grade 2, 3, and 4.
Students from grades 5 to 7 will research
the different roles played by Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
The final product will be a grand student presentation
in front of parents and other community members on the
14th. All projects will be graded as part of
the Religion grade for term 2.
For this program to be successful, we need full support
from parents. Please pay attention to correspondence from
your child’s teacher regarding the kind of support they
are looking for and the deadlines.
I hope you enjoy helping your child in this process.
Sincerely,
Mrs. El-Alami
Principal of Alhuda Academy
